Seeking the Spiritual is a book discussion group offered by the Shaler North Hills Library, which began in the fall of 2023.  Jill Millard and Ing Kalchthaler gently facilitate the group, and their path is Christianity, but those who attend follow many paths, and the only requirements are an open heart and an open mind.  Book Discussions begin at 6:30 p.m. Copies of the books are available for purchase or borrowing at the library. 

In June 2025, we read Rainn Wilson's book Soul Boom: Why We Need a Spiritual Revolution. Reserve your copy today.

We met again in July and discussed Turning Words: Transformative Encounters with Buddhist Teachers. You can find a copy to borrow here. 

In August, we came together to watch Dan Harris's interview with Father Gregg Boyle, titled "Resist Without Demonizing."  

September's book was After by Bruce Greyson.  You can reserve it here.  

In November, our book was The Amen Effect by Rabbi Sharon Brous.
